Before I even met Claire I knew we’d make a good match. She has a love of dogs, enjoys being outdoors, hiking, and also brews beer with soon-to-be hubby, Art!
Claire and Art started dating after Art got a job at an engineering firm Claire was working at. She hadn’t left for college yet and had her heart set on attending the University of Oregon. For 4 years, with visits back home, Claire and Art made their long distance relationship work. Distance makes the heart grow fonder right?? After Claire graduated from college, she moved in with Art because nothing, not even a little distance could separate them now.
Claire and Art chose the Ponderosa Bridge and surrounding area up in Foresthill to do their engagement photos. They both enjoy the outdoors and have spent quite a bit of time in the area, so the landscape has significance in their relationship. Not to mention, the landscape was spectacular and since it had just rained, the water current was moving pretty fast!
Here are some favorites from our shoot..
Claire’s make-up was done by the fabulous Melissa over at All Dolled Up.
Meet their super active and sweet dog, Cassius.
Okay, there’s a story behind this truck. On their first date, Art was going to pick up Claire but the truck he was supposed to pick her up in, died. So he took this one. This was his off-road truck. Claire obviously gave him a little beef for it but she enjoyed going on these off roads with Art. Probably their best (and worst) memory was when they were a few miles deep into the foothills with no service and this truck broke down. Claire and Art had to push, yes PUSH, the truck back to the main road. Needless to say, this truck has some great memories attached to it.
Drinking some of their home brewed beer…
Happy Friday!
