Back to my Roots: South Lake Tahoe, CA

Or rather…back to my roots from when I first fell in love with photography. Our family is lucky enough to have an Aunt who has a cabin in South Lake Tahoe and is such a treat to visit. I don’t get to visit ‘The Cabin’ (what we call it) as much as I would like to, so whenever I get the chance I like to make the most of it. I remember going as a kid playing with my cousins, swimming in the river behind the cabin, and just enjoying what Mother Nature has to offer. Must be the Greenleaf  in me, I guess?  In high school, when I first grasped the concept of photography, I wanted to be the next Ansel Adams (I know, right? I laugh about that too.) Mainly because my family and I enjoy the outdoors so much. We would hike all over the area and I can’t tell you how much film (yes, FILM) I shot.

Tomorrow I’ll be heading to The Cabin to spend the day and night. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about changes (for the better) I want to implement in my business and I can’t think of a better place to organize my thoughts.
I’ll definitely be bringing some essentials:
1. Camera
2. Hiking Shoes (for a hike around fallen leaf lake perhaps)
3. Sweatshirt (because it gets cold at night when you are outside looking at the stars)
4. Swim suit (I hope Tahoe isn’t too cold!)
5. Sunscreen- SPF 10 (low SPF helps with my tan šŸ˜‰
I feel so blessed with how this year has gone so far and I’m super stoked about the future. Two thumbs up for that!
