I met Candace and Andy through my roomate a couple of years ago. Andy was usually the quieter one and Candace was the outgoing one. He was her ying to his yang…or something like that š
When Candace and Andy got engaged, they originally had a date that I was already booked….bummer! But a couple of weeks later Candace emailed me to tell me they had changed the date of the wedding and I was so thrilled! I was going to know a few people there and I even had my own place setting!
Candace and Andy’s wedding was a very unique wedding. They had two ceremonies in one day…one at St Catherine’s Greek Orthodox church and then a second at the Vizcaya Pavilion in Sacramento. Andy is of the Greek Orthodox religion so in order for their marriage to be recognized by the church, they needed to have a ceremony at the church. It was really intimate because only 15 of their closest family and friends were there. Here is a couple of shots from the morning ceremony…
Just after the ceremony concluded, Candace’s Dad pulled the two of them aside and gave them some words of wisdom when it comes to marriage. If I wrote them down here, it wouldn’t do them justice. It was the way he said it to them almost had me in tears of joy and happiness.
After a few hours, it was time to get ready for the ceremony at the Vizcaya where all of the invited guests were going to be. Here are a few getting ready and detail shots…
I absolutely loved the set up…and the dance floor.
Simply Gorgeous you are, Candace.
Candace’s mother wasn’t able to be there in person, but she was definitely there in spirit. This chair was reserved for her.
The newly married couple couldn’t bring their cat to the wedding…so they improvised š
This reminds me of the saying, couples who laugh together stay together. And Candace and Andy make a great pair.
I’ll leave you with this ambiance shot of the reception.
Candace and Andy, I had such an amazing time celebrating with the two of you and thank you so much for having me there on your wedding day.
Much love and appreciation,
Ryan
