Caption This: Seattle.

While in Seattle for the final episode of Restart, I decided to stay a couple of extra days and enjoy what the city had to offer. I don’t know when I will be back again so I really wanted to soak in what I had went through over the  last three months and enjoy life before things started to get hectic again….which I am also thankful for šŸ™‚

Today’s post is mainly about the photos I took while I was in Seattle for fun. I don’t think there is a need for me to write a long story. Instead, I’ll let the photos tell the story and have captions along the way.
The day after Restart Jenna, Tami (fellow restarters) Tommy (my other half), and I walked around Pike’s Place Market.

This is the Gum Wall in post alley. The sign on the right says “No Gum This Side.” Clearly people listen.

Jenna pretending she’s a fish.

The flowers in Seattle are amazingly gorgeous…and they are pretty reasonably priced too!  If I lived in Seattle you could find me buying flowers every week. Tulips and Daffodils are my favorite kinds of flowers.

You can always find someone entertaining people…whether it be at the mall or at the market or just on a street corner. These girls were goooood and had a crowd of people watching them!

Going to the market wouldn’t be complete without grabbing Starbucks from store that started it all. That lady in the blue jacket looks happy to be photobombing my photo šŸ™‚

Clearly Jenna and Tami were really excited about their iced coffees. šŸ™‚

On that Friday, it was time for Jenna and Tami to head back home. Jenna was heading back to Madison, Wisconsin and Tami was heading back to Chicago. So, Tommy and I got to spend the day together exploring, walking, and even leaving Seattle to explore a little bit of the Pacific Northwest.

We started the day out at Serious Biscuit. Seriously? This was the best friggin’ breakfasts I have had in a long time. Pictured below are biscuits and gravy. Bacon. Fried egg and fried chicken. Pretty sure my calorie level was off the charts after eating this but it was totally worth it.

After being seriously full, Tommy and I made our way down to the waterfront passing through the market again…Probably a good thing we walked.

Thanks to Stacy and Jami, they let me know about a ferry that all of the locals take for $8 instead of the ferry ride that all of the tourists take for $45. This ferry takes you to one of the islands in the area – the ferry that we chose was to Bainbridge Island.

Mother Nature sure was good to us in Seattle.

Some of the houses right on the water were stunning!

This is one of the harbors on Bainbridge..

On our way into town, a local woman who worked at a real estate company (we were checking out how pricey it is to live in the area…I was curious!) came outside and sent us to one of her favorite places to eat. And I couldn’t be happier! It was a bit of a walk but totally worth it. I had the special – Macaroni and Cheese. Tommy had a chicken quesadilla and for dessert we had berry a la mode. yum.

I asked to sit outside because it was a gorgeous day. The server told me that it was a little chilly and that they don’t like it when people move. I told her that wouldn’t be an issue with us because we clearly enjoyed our view…

On our walk back to the ferry, there were some really cool art installations made out of rocks along the pathway.

This is the ferry we took. It’s a commuter ferry that cars, motorcycles, and bikes take to get to and from Seattle and back to Bainbridge island. It’s actually a really cool ship and even cooler to see how they enter and exit the ship.

This photo doesn’t nearly do this volcano justice. This photo is of Mt. Rainier and it is the first time I’ve seen it from the ground our of the 4 times I have visited Seattle. It towers 14,411 feet above sea level (and above the clouds) and is one of the most majestic mountains I’ve seen from a distance.

Clearly, I fell in love with this area of the Pacific Northwest and I cannot wait to come back and explore something new. Until next time!
