Mandy and Jon have a love story like none other. It would seem they would have had feelings for each other from the beginning with the story that I’m about to tell you…but that wasn’t the case. I’ll let Mandy tell you in her own words:
“We always kind of laugh when people ask how we met. In a nutshell, we’ve known each other since we were born. Our moms have been best friends since they were four, our grandparents still live across the street from each other, we grew up around each other at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, watching each other grow up, date other people, go off to college. We met for coffee once or twice during college with no real sparks. In 2008, though, something changed. Life, as it seems to do, brought us together when it was finally ‘right.’ Five years later, after a few moves, a few jobs, and a proposal at the Palace of Fine Arts in SF that left strangers clapping and taking pictures, we’re getting married! Needless to say… our moms couldn’t be happier!”
Believe it or not, Mandy saw me through ReSTARt: A Photography Business Makeover on Creative Live. She emailed me while I was in Seattle filming the first episode and wanted to set up a time to meet as soon as I returned to California…and the rest is history! Well, you know after their engagement session, emails, and coffee dates. š
Mandy and Jon married at Centerville Estates up in Chico I couldn’t have been more honored to be the one to photograph it. Here we start off with the stunning bride…
