THE

Change.

One of my new years resolutions at the beginning of the year was to go to the gym 4-5 times a week…but I’m pretty sure that’s my new years resolution every year. While I may have slipped on that a few weeks here and there, I have been pretty consistent and proud of myself. Maybe too consistent to the point of receptiveness.
A big struggle with me is my diet. I’m not a very savvy person around the kitchen and once a week you will probably find me at Chipotle or making some mac-n-cheese, or another kind of pasta. I love pasta.
And Carbs. It’s embarrassing knowing how much I think about food. Having plain chicken and steamed veggies just gets old after awhile. I want change.
I had a personal training session with a trainer last week. We had one session (kind of like a test run) and I puked. F’reals y’all. Yacked in the gym garbage can. That’s when I knew I needed help from a trainer if I really wanted to get my ass into shape. So that’s exactly what I did…as an early birthday present to myself. Which is also why I think I’m craving some sort of change. I get this way every time my birthday comes around. Anyway, we took measurements to see where I am currently at:
Current Body Fat: 21%  My Goal: 10-12%
Current Weight: 186lbs  My Goal: 170-175lbs
What I hope to get from this personal training time is knowledge of what works best for my body and how I can continue on once the personal training is over with. Because it doesn’t happen overnight. For those of you who followed through the Restart process that happened earlier this year, can I joke and say that I’m “RESTART”ing my fitness? šŸ˜‰

It all starts on Monday and will go until July so this weekend, I think I’ll treat myself to a slice of pizza. And maybe a margarita.

What are your plans for the weekend? Any fitness areas that you want to work on?

Happy Friday!
