Happy Halloween!

I love celebrating the holidays. Halloween is just a start to Thanksgiving, then Christmas, and then finally New Years. But I’m telling you something you already know.

I used to be obsessed with decorating for the holidays. Not indoors with little knick knacks…I’m talking lights. I loooooveed lights and everything that lit up. I still do..and no doubt when I move into a house again one day I’ll deck it out in lights. Halloween & Christmas. But for now, we’ll talk about halloween. This is a photo of my front porch for Halloween…Obviously I still go all out.

Growing up, there was a house about 3 blocks away from us who used to scare the CRAP out of trick or treaters. I was once a victim but then never again. He’d set up sounds of halloween and have a Mic set up with a speaker outside. Then once a child walks up to get candy with their mom BOOM. He’d laugh like he was Mr. Hyde. This would scare the mom and the kid. But it’s all in Halloween fun.

I did something similar one year with a big black tarp. Right next to the sidewalk where people would walk I covered a giant black tarp over myself and when someone would walk up, I’d spaz out causing the tarp to make loud noises and movement in the dark. It worked well šŸ™‚ There was also halloween music blasting and many many halloween decorations.

Halloween also means Halloween movies which means Hocus Pocus…

And although I’m not dressing up this year, I’ll leave you with a couple of past Halloween costumes…

Here I am as Mario and Tommy as Luigi

This one as Peter Parker aka Spiderman. Pretty fitting right? Since he’s a photographer? šŸ˜‰

Happy Halloween!
