There are some people in this world who are put on this earth to do amazing things. Sarah and Matt are no exception and I’d say it’s fate that brought them together. Their story is both heart warming and incredible.
Sarah grew up just 10 minutes from where I grew up. She moved away for college and attended UCLA where she studied Psychology and ran or both their track and cross country teams. After graduation, she moved to Spain to study spanish. It was there where her passion to travel and explore the world began. After returning to the states, she submitted an application for the Peace Corps and was invited to serve in Honduras.
Matt grew up in Wisconsin and attended the University of Madison studying Biochemistry and Psychology. It was when took a global health issues class in college that sparked his drive to make the world a better place. 2 years after college (and traveling to various places throughout the world), he applied for the Peace Corps. The first invitation he got was to serve in Nicaragua, which would have made this a very different story had he accepted. The second invitation he got was for Honduras which is where he met Sarah.
See, the world works in mysterious ways in bringing people together. The thirst for life and the chemistry that these two have is inspiring. Sarah and Matt, it was an absolute pleasure to photograph your wedding day and I can’t wait for the future has in store for you.

Sarah and Matt opted for a first look…
After their incredible amazing first look, we grabbed some more photos around the gorgeous Park Winters grounds…

Mother nature was good to us…
Since Sarah and Matt wanted to bring a little bit of Wisconsin to Nor Cal, they brought a few Wisconsin beers for their guests to enjoy. They also had a signature cocktail.
Tables were named after places around the world they’ve visited.
The guests enjoyed the beautiful spring day before the ceremony began…
Always one of my favorite moments of the day…walking down the aisle after the “I Do’s.”
Immediately after the ceremony, Sarah and Matt made their way inside while the guests headed to cocktail hour. Here’s a sneaky shot of the two of them…
We also made time for a few photos around sunset too..
