It’s hard to find the words to start this blog post because photographing this intimate Bahamas wedding was definitely a highlight of my professional career. It’s always an honor to photograph someones wedding day. Always. But let’s just say it’s not every day when you get asked to photograph a wedding in the Bahamas.

Alicia and Chris are a real life model couple. Scroll down and see for yourself. They have great taste, good looks, and even better personalities. These two and their group of friends made me feel so welcome.

The day I arrived Alicia and I scoped out spots on the beach where we thought would make a good small ceremony spot. We decided on a small raised part of the beach that almost looked like it was made for a small wedding.

The wedding day itself was relaxing and casual. Exactly how Alicia and Chris wanted it to be. They spent the majority of the day at the beach and in the evening held their ceremony and reception right before sunset.

Did you know that in the Bahamas in order for your marriage to be legal, you need to be married before the sun sets? I didn’t either.

At the reception, the live band was a really nice touch. They played music throughout the delicious dinner prepared by a local chef. After dinner the dancing began. The Bahamas is a tropical climate. You can imagine how hot and humid it was. So what happened with the dance party? It moved to the pool. Scroll down and see for yourself as well as the rest of some highlights from their wedding.
