If you’ve been following me over on my Facebook page, you’ve probably seen the progression of our pup, Leo. We’ve officially had him for 12 weeks! Although it seems like much longer. Here he is moments after he came home.
When we first brought him home from the shelter, they called him a beagle mix. Tommy and I were both a little skeptical on that diagnosis at first but after a fire siren and a howl from Leo, we thought there might be some truth to it!
Not knowing how big Leo was going to get, I decided to take a photo of him once a week to document his growth. The vet says he’ll be anywhere between 30-40 pounds. Right now he’s hovering around 23 pounds. In honor of having him for 12 weeks, here’s 12 things we’ve learned about Leo.
1. We’ve only had him for 12 weeks but he has about 18 toys aka spoiled.
2. He can sit, lay down, stay, shake, and roll over.
3. He has grown out of his light blue collar. We took it off of him last night and are looking for another one.
4. He takes about 4 naps a day.
5. Has slept through the *entire* night about 5 times total.
6. Had his first experience on a walk.
7. Had his first experience with a turtle…and was middy freaked out.
8. Loves to chase squirrels.
9. Is learning to take advantage of his “puppy dog eyes”
10. He has 2 beds aka spoiled.
11. Had his first beach experience. Loves the sand but was unsure of the ocean waves.
12. If he’s in a car for too long, he’ll get car sick – which we found out on the way back from Bodega Bay.
**Bonus: You’ll never know it, but It’s really hard to breathe writing this blog post because of the horrible gas Leo has at the moment.
Here he is…Leo at week 12 –
That green ball? Who knows where that thing went.
