Leo is currently 10 weeks old. We’re not sure exactly what his birthday is since he was left at the shelter in a box, so we’ll stick with 10 weeks. Every week since we’ve had him (and every week until he’s 1) I plan to take his photo in this exact spot to watch him grow week by week. Mainly because we don’t really know exactly what he is or how big he’s going to get! You can follow that over on my Facebook page.
Here’s week 3. You can see week 1 by clicking here.
It’s been quite the experience owning a puppy. Here are some things I’ve learned about him so far.
- We’re almost sure he’s got a mix of boxer and beagle.
- His forehead scrunches and its hard not to fall for those puppy dog eyes.
- He loves his toys but he also loves to chew on plants and shoes. He’s scared of electrical cords though.
- Scared himself the first time we heard him bark.
- He’s having a rough time getting used to his collar but he’s getting much better.
- Out of the entire day, the time he has the most energy is when its time for me to go to bed – go figure!
- He knows how to sit and lay down. Working on stay.
- Last night he slept through the entire night…yesss!
- Wouldn’t do it at first but he went down the stairs for the first time leading to the back yard (there’s probably about 6 from the back door to the ground).
- When he see’s himself in the mirror, he barks and wants to play with his reflection.
