Miners Foundry Wedding Photography | Nevada City, CA | Megan + Andrew

Andrew and Megan first met each other when they were both going to Cal State Stanislaus. Megan, as well as the rest of her volleyball team, were at a local gathering where Andrew was with a few of his friends. He noticed something special about Megan and when the moment was right, decided to go up and talk to her. And a good decision it was.
Sports have always been a big part of Andrew and Megan’s relationship. They enjoy watching sports together, going to games, and Megan coaches a volleyball team. When it came time for Andrew to propose, after dating for 6 years, he had the perfect idea: At a baseball game. I know what you’re thinking…No he didn’t propose on the Jumbotron…he had a much better idea! All of their closest friends and family (which Megan had no idea about) were tailgating at the A’s game. Each family member/friend was hiding behind a wall waiting to hold up their letters spelling, “Will you marry me?” when Megan arrived. Once she did, she had no idea this would all be happening and after that day ended, felt like the luckiest girl in the world. You can see a homemade video of how the proposal went down here.
For their wedding, Megan and Andrew had a beautiful ceremony in a small town called Nevada City. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, it was a gorgeous summer day to have a wedding. Enjoy!

Before heading over to Empire Mine for the couples first look, Megan and her Dad shared a casual first look…

Then it was time to see Andrew…

Megan, you’re a stunner.

After we did photos over at Empire Mine, we headed back to the Miners Foundry to get ready for the ceremony.

Even with a first look, these two were so incredibly happy to get married.

A moment between these two right after the ceremony…

The reception was filled with good toasts and lots of dancing…

Around sunset, we snuck out for a few minutes around the town of Nevada City to grab some more photos…

Big thanks to Marcie Lynn Johnston for second shooting for me!
