It was during Restart Episode 2 when I received the news. The amazing Promise Tangeman of Sitehouse Designs and Ben Turner of Kai Designz were teaming up with me to create an entire new rebranded website….um…for reals?? This was a dream come true! Being a part of ReSTART to learn and grow my business was already more than I could have asked for. This news had me jumping around my house, calling my mom to tell her how excited I was, and also REALLY scared because this was it. I had to create all of the content for this new website in 4 days. I talked a little about the struggle with that in this blog post.

Working with professional designers was extremely helpful through this process. They just see things differently – They offer their opinions and tips on things that you may not have thought about yourself. They gave me a few tips on Search Engine Optimization (SEO), writing an about me, and color schemes for the new site. I am a total perfectionist and sometimes that can get the best of me. And you know what perfection leads to? Procrastination. A little tip I picked up on the Creative Live set.

It was a lot of emailing and hard work to make sure everything was right for the new website. But in the end, I’ve never felt so good about sending potential clients to my website as I do now.

My favorite part of my website has to be the landing page. Thanks to Kim J Martin who shot all of the video of me. Literally, we were just being silly in front of the camera and I pieced together all of the clips in imovie before I sent it over to the designers.

I feel humbled and so so grateful to have been selected for Restart and to be able to connect with such talented people. Seriously, I can’t put the way I feel into words about all of this.
