San Francisco City Hall Wedding
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it 1000 times over. There’s just something so special and intimate when couples choose to have small weddings…and I LOVE IT. Don’t get me wrong, I love big celebrations with 150+ guests, they’re so exciting! But they have a totally different vibe.
Alyssa and Stephen decided to keep things small when it came to exchanging their vows. With only close family and a few close friends, they chose to have a San Francisco City Hall Wedding.
There are a few options for couples who are looking to get married at city hall. For a fee, you can rent out the Fourth Floor Balcony (which is what Alyssa + Stephen did here), The Mayor’s Balcony, and even the Grand Staircase. You can find more information on that here.
Now, back to these two lovebirds. For Alyssa and Stephen, getting ready photos weren’t a priority for them so I met them at City Hall. Once we got there, we set up a first look so they could see each other for the first time. Here is where their San Francisco City Hall Wedding story begins.
After their first look, we strolled around City Hall for some more portraits before their scheduled ceremony time. This also gave the family members time to arrive.
Playing around with the abundance of light City Hall has to offer.
I MEAN.
While we were finishing up portraits, their guests began gathered on the 4th story balcony and were shouting and waving to one another. That was a cool moment.
The architecture in this building is incredible and makes for a stunning backdrop.
So much happy <3
Family formals are a must at each wedding and having a smaller wedding guarantees you photos with pretty much all of your guests.
CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW SWEET HER GRANDMA IS?!?!
Talk about a grand staircase..
Followed by their grand exit.
