It was a cloudy and breezy day in Paris when my cousin and I made our way down the Champs-Élysées towards our next sight-seeing destination. The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris and is a lot bigger in person than from what I’ve seen in photos. Even this photo below doesn’t do the Arc justice. It stands in the center of a round-a-bout of cars and the only way to get it to it (safely) is underground. It’s a stunning piece of architecture, took years to build, and has a ton of history attached to it.
