When it came time to take my senior photos in high school, I did the standard studio shot that everyone has to do so that they can get their photo into the yearbook. I didn’t like the photos (neither did my mother) so we hired outside of that go-to-yearbook-photo studio and the result was something we were much happier with. While on the shoot with Derek, I learned that he was really nervous to get his photo taken and that he didn’t take senior photos in high school.
Derek is a brother to a past bride of mine, Celine. He contacted me to get some photos done for various reasons. He wanted to create a Zed card for an upcoming audition and needed some professional shots for his social media work. No sweat Derek, I got you my man. And I’m sure your mother (Hi Nicole!) will be so happy to have photos of her son.
I loved Derek’s bowtie and honestly had Justin Timberlake’s “Suit and Tie” song stuck in my head for most of our shoot…how could I not? I should of had a boom box (did that really just pop into my head…boom box??) blasting it during our shoot. Have you heard his new album? It’s all about that tunnel vision.
Here are some of my favorites we took…
I absolutely loved that Derek brought along a few props…including this neat-o briefcase..
Happy Wednesday!
