Let me just start by saying I am so blessed to be able to do this for a living. Like any job there are good days and bad days. The bad days for me will usually consist of not getting through my to-do list of things. Or maybe a photoshop edit that takes ALL FREAKING DAY. The good days? The good days far outweigh the bad ones – and the bad ones aren’t even that bad. My favorite days though? Those are when I get to be behind the camera in my element. The wedding I am sharing with you today is one of my absolute favorite type of days. A destination wedding at the very north west corner of the continental United States. Nestled amongst trees and lakes is a place called Lakedale Resort on San Juan Island in Washington. You can only get there by driving your car onto a ferry and taking the ferry across the water. Which is actually kind of amazing to this non-local.

Allison and Keith invited their guests to camp with them for a wedding weekend celebration. Lakedale Resort offers log cabins, yurts, and canvas tents for people to stay in as well as an abundance of other outdoor activities. Allison and Keith pretty much took over the place! The night before the wedding they held a relaxed rehearsal dinner, S’mores included. On the wedding day, guests gathered at the ceremony site where Allison and Keith exchanged their vows. They left the ceremony in style via lake for some champagne and alone time. Dinner was right on the lake and there was no shortage of people on the dance floor.
