When you think of having a first date, what comes to mind? A typical first date that comes to my mind is dinner, lunch, or dinner + movie. There’s nothing wrong with the ‘typical’ first date but if you go all out and extravagent on your first date, how will you top the second one? My first date with Tommy was unplanned. Mutual friends set us up and we went bowling…random right? Pretty sure we haven’t been bowling since.
Carrie and Jon didn’t have the typical first date. If you know anything about the college greek system, you know that sororities will hold formals. After Carrie spent time in the library with Jon while he helped her write her paper (which she got an A on), she asked him to her sorority formal dance as her date. Jon instantly felt a connection to Carrie back at the library so when she asked him to her formal, there was no hesitation. Once the day finally came and went after dancing, drinks, and staying up until the wee hours of the morning, both Carrie and Jon described the day as one of the best nights they ever had.
For their wedding, Carrie and Jon chose the immaculate Inn at Park Winters to celebrate their love. It was a beautiful summer day and they utilized the entire property to ensure their guests enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish.
Starting off with Carrie looking out the 2nd story window to see how everything is coming together…
Jon was incredibly happy to see his bride walking down the aisle…
After the ceremony, a bagpiper led friends and family over to the pool area to enjoy cocktail hour.
Carrie and Jon sharing a kiss during their first dance…
To celebrate Jon’s success in completing the police academy and becoming an officer, a police car cake was definitely appropriate.
