Ever since I could remember I loved Halloween time. I loved decorating my house with pumpkin lights and any other decorations I could get my hands on. Growing up, a neighbor of ours was in a band and every year at halloween when kids would trick or treat, he’d set up a speaker and scare kids when they would walk up to his house…I thought it was amazing.
Long gone is the tradition of trick or treating for me but not my love of decorating for the season. It’s almost become a yearly tradition for my family to go pick pumpkins at a local pumpkin patch in Davis. I love doing it because I get a chance to hang out with my family while getting freshly picked pumpkins to decorate my house with and a fun little tractor ride as well.
It’s not too often the entire family is together. For the last few years of pumpkin patchin’ not everyone was able to make it. We all lead different lives and different schedules…but when all of us are together, it makes me happy. This year, we were able to all be together so naturally, I thought it would make for some good photo ops. This photo makes me happy not only because we are all together, but because of the memory it has with me as well.
See all those ^^^ pumpkins?! Yep! those are ours! Before I got to the pumpkin patch I already had an idea of what I wanted to do with my findings. I wanted to decorate our dining room table with a “fall spread” and I thought those pumpkins would be perfect. Debra of Tres Fabu Events was ever so kind in lending me her sterling silver piece which made for the perfect center point for my table display.
Whether you celebrate or not – dress up or not, I hope you and yours have a festive season. 🙂
