Tommy and I have been engaged 8 months and we’ve only made a guest list for our wedding. That’s not even completely finished. No venue yet, no photographer yet, nothin. I’ve often tossed around the idea of eloping simply because it would be easier, more about us, and we’d still have photos to remember the day by.
San Francisco City Hall is one epic city hall. The architecture and window light provides endless photo possibilities. I could shoot in here for hours. Also people watching is fun too. But beware, it can get pretty busy at times. I got there at 8:30am on a Friday and the place was totally empty.
Chris was a groomsman in a wedding I photographed and remembered me from there. When I ran into him and his fiancé Jen at another wedding I was at, they told me about their plans to elope at City Hall. I was sooo happy for them and incredibly honored they wanted me to document it! Elopements are my fave.
They had one of the first appointments at City Hall so we pretty much had the place to ourselves for a bit. Here are some favorites from the day!
After taking photos for awhile, we headed to the county clerks office to sign paperwork.
…and for some touch ups.
Pure joy.
After City Hall we headed to Lands End/Sutro Baths for different San Francisco scenery. It was an amazing December day!
