There’s just something about small weddings that I can’t get enough of. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good sized wedding too (hellooo dance party!) but the overall vibe I get from small gatherings are so much more intimate. Since these types of weddings mostly consist of a dozen people, if that, I really feel like part of the family when I photograph them.
For April and Brian’s small wedding, I really felt like part of the family. I’ve known Brian since he was a little kid riding around our neighborhood on a big wheel. He would ride that thing everywhere! I’ve seen him grow up and consider his family my family so to be able to photograph his wedding day was very special to me.
April and Brian rented a beautiful house on Tomales Bay where they invited their closest family and friends to celebrate their union.
I’ve never driven out to Tomales Bay but even the views on the drive over were breathtaking…
Tamales Bay is a very small town…This strip of homes along the bay definitely make for a perfect little getaway.
One fact about Brian is that he’s always loved to fish so having this house on the bay was a perfect way for him to celebrate his marriage.
Before April and Brian got ready, they mingled with family and friends for a relaxing afternoon.
Since April and Brian wanted to get married at Sunset, we set up a first look so we could snap a few photos of them before the sun went down.
As April and Brian said their vows during a foggy sunset, guests gathered around to watch.
I had to snag a photo with Brian but I wasn’t expecting this..
One last photo to end the evening.
