Have you ever heard of someone talking about how they make a yearly trip somewhere? For example someone says to you, “Every year we make it a point to travel somewhere so that we can stop and enjoy life.” Or, “Every year we make it a point to go to Disneyland.” And all I’m thinking is, I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since I’ve ridden Space Mountain! 

Amanda and Cody have their very own yearly tradition. Every year, they make it a point to stay at a different Bed and Breakfast so they can get away and really enjoy each others company. We’re lucky we live in such an amazing state that in just a short amount of time you can be in places like Lake Tahoe, Napa, Monterey, San Francisco, Bodega Bay, the list could go on and on. I think it’s a wonderful yearly tradition! 

Another tradition Amanda had growing up was going to her Grandfathers cabin. For the last few years that they have been together, Cody has joined Amanda on these trips to the cabin. So when I asked them if they had any spots in mind to take their engagement photos, this was the obvious choice! The cabin is nestled into the woods and nearby is a lake. A lake where the water was very low, but made for some pretty cool backdrops. Not to mention their adorable dog Ellie who joined us!
