THE

Last Month Round Up

A lot of things happen in a month…sometimes I forget all of the things that happened so taking the time to reflect on the last month really helps me remember. Also in a year from now it will be fun to look back and see what life was like.

Right now I have about 3,500 photos on my phone…yes, I know I need some serious clean up…but the photos in my phone are usually an accurate interpretation of what happened in the past. With 3,500 photos, I can take you back about a year and a half, but today I’ll spare you and take you back to the last month of summer.

Sit back and enjoy the randomness…
In September my parents took a trip back east to visit some family which meant that someone needed to watch Baylee. Baylee is used to having a backyard but I wasn’t too worried about having her stay with me downtown…with no backyard. We had fun going to Capitol Park to play ball and walking in the morning. She’s 13 years old right now and can’t really hear so I’m thankful we got to spend this time.
Speaking of living downtown, Tommy and I officially signed a lease on a house! The light fixtures have been replaced since this photos but we’re excited to do a little interior decorating. We move in on November 1st. If any of you find yourselves in the downtown Sacramento area and want to help…pizza, beer, and other snacks will be given. šŸ™‚

Yep. It’s britney bitch. I’ve loved her since the beginning so it’s no doubt that I will be seeing her (more than once) in Vegas. She always puts on a good show but I’ll never forget the time when I won tickets to her dress rehearsal before the opening night of her femme fatale tour. Only 100 people and a full show. Can’t wait for this one!

I had an awesome time putting the camera down at a wedding and enjoyed being a part of one of my best friends wedding. There’s another blog post about that experience coming soon…

This is the new tote bag we offer…just for photographers. Put your groceries in it, towels for the beach, or for an overnight stay somewhere. Just kidding, but a guy can dream right? šŸ˜‰

This past month I completed my first ever stylized shoot for the Citizen Hotel. It was exhausting but rewarding at the same time. I got to team up with some amazing vendors who were such a delight to work with. This is the view from the top of the Citizen Hotel in downtown Sacramento where I was able to have a moment to reflect on how thankful I am to be doing what I love to do.

Fern Lee photographed a wedding with me in Berkeley and introduced me to a pretty amazing ice cream cookie sandwich spot. A perfect post-wedding snack. Thanks Fern!

Lastly, THIS SHOW. I am hooked. How many of you out there watch this show? I’m currently on the 3rd episode of season 2 so don’t spoil anything! I had to see what all the hype was about and I’m a fan. Any chance I get I watch a new episode.

Maybe I can make these banana & peanut butter snacks while I watch homeland.

Sacramento had its annual “Burger Battle” where local restaurants compete for your vote on who made the best burger. I was in foodie heaven…and SO full at the end of the night. Thank you Donny for having us!

And lastly, I needed to step my cardio game up (especially after the burger battle and Hawaii coming up) so I got some new kicks to wear to the gym. So far I love them! They are the Nike Free Trainers 5.0 and come in a variety of colors.

Happy Tuesday!
