Leaning Tree Lodge Wedding, Placerville, CA: Mindy + Martin

It was on everyone’s mind that morning as the clouds rolled in at Leaning Tree Lodge. Rain was scheduled for the forecast and it was coming with a vengeance. We’re talking rain, hail, and even thunder. At the last minute the decision was made to move the completely outdoor wedding into a completely indoor wedding. Thankfully, Made in the Shade provided their last tent so that the wedding could be moved indoors.

Not even the rain could dampen the love that Mindy and Martin share. Ever since the second grade when Martin slipped Mindy a note, love has been present in their relationship. From the words of Mindy herself: “Well, it rained, it hailed, we rented a tent to turn our outdoor wedding into a tented one but at the end of the day, it was exactly what I wanted – one that allowed me to marry my best friend.”

Mindy and Martin, I can’t thank you enough for allowing me into your lives. I wish you a lifetime of happiness, rain or shine.

Make-up by Shana always does terrific work…

Leaning Tree Lodge did such an amazing job making everyone feel welcome. They had freshly baked cookies, hot cocoa, fruit, and other assortments out for the wedding party to enjoy.

I thought this sweatshirt was pretty hilarious given the circumstances…

Mindy gifted Martin a scrapbook from all of their adventures together leading up to the wedding day…too sweet!

Meanwhile, Mindy was getting ready…

Rain doesn’t stop this beauty from shining…

I had some competition that day…:)

Martin and his guys…

While the rain was still coming down, we did some shots under the awning…

Then, just as if Mother Nature knew that it was time for photos, the clouds broke apart giving us access to the beautiful grounds..

And one final moment with the Newlyweds…

Happy Thursday!
